John Ryan is the Vice President of Service Solutions and Operations for Pharmacy Healthcare Solutions, a business unit of AmerisourceBergen. He is responsible for PHS’s ambulatory and specialty pharmacy, patient financial assistance and accreditation services.

A licensed pharmacist, John has more than 30 years of experience and expertise in clinical operations, REMS programs, limited distribution drugs, data analytics, senior-level communication and strategic planning.

Prior to joining AmerisourceBergen, John held  leadership roles as Vice President of Operations at Shields Health Solutions, Vice President of Ambulatory Pharmacy and Managing Consultant at McKesson, and Director of Ambulatory Pharmacy at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.

John earned a BS in biology from Salem State College and a BS in pharmacy, with honors, from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Science
